Akeem
Jackson
Jun 4, 1986 — May 19, 2025
Akeem Elisja "Keemy" Jackson was born in Galveston, Texas, on June 4, 1986, to Ellis and Norma Jackson. Akeem passed away on May 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Born with a spirit both grounded and vibrant, Keemy moved through life with quiet strength and a heart wide open. He found meaning not just in moments, but in connection—casting a fishing line beneath the morning sky, sharing laughter at family cookouts, losing himself in music that spoke to his soul, and showing constant care to the animals he called family. He was someone who created comfort wherever he went, who listened deeply, loved generously, and lived with purpose in the lives he touched.
To know Keemy was to feel seen, heard, and loved. His presence brought light to the darkest days, and his loyalty ran deep for those he held dear. Whether you met him once or knew him all your life, his warmth left a mark that will never fade.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Jackson, and his grandparents, Olice and Verna Brooks, and Eddie Mae Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife, Violeah; four beloved children, Rodreieanna Hickman, Akeem Jackson, Jr., Akeelah Jackson, and Elljha Jackson, who were the center of his world; his devoted mother, Norma Jackson; Raniea Porter, who held a special place in his life; his siblings, Tameka (Urel) Taylor, Marlon (Tasha) Jackson, and Antonio (Gabrielle) Jackson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
