Al Joe was preceded in death by his Mother, Lillian Adams, his wife, Johnnie Edwards Adams, brothers; Roy, Hollis, Ralph, Floyd, Ray, and Oscar Jr., sisters; Maggie Ruth, Cora Lee, Dorothy, and Faye Beaty.

Al Joe leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Tina Adams (Virgil) of Killeen, TX; two sons, Anthony Adams of Houston, TX and Reggie Adams (Kontina) of Jasper, TX; bonus daughter, Debra Mitchell of Newton, TX; one brother, Al Lee Adams of Jasper, TX; three sisters, Ramona Jackson, Earlene White, and Laverne Hadnot all of Jasper, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and friends.
