Obituary

Anderson Albert White was born on July 13, 1960, to Anderson and Lillie White in Shankleville Community, Newton County. Albert, also known as "Andy" and "Al," attended school at Burkeville High School, where he played sports and excelled in football. He was also a member of Future Farmers of America and worked on the work-study program. He attended night school at Texas Southern University and became a certified carpenter, working as a self-contractor throughout Dallas and Houston.

He joined church at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member. He later united with Crossroads Community Church in Pearland, Texas. He loved fishing, hunting, and cooking. His family considered him the "Gumbo Super Chef." He was passionate about spending time outside, walking, and spending time with family. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He leaves to mourn: his wife of twenty-eight years, Rose White; his children, Shaneequa White, Lakeshia Stepney, Keith Stepney, Rodney Gatson, Tiffany White (Rodney and Tiffany's mother, Sharon White); his mother, Lillie White; five sisters, Lula Bell, Faye Holloman, Geraldine Rowe, Mary Brittian (Ed), and Norma Kelly (Keith); three brothers, Phillip White (Debra), Amon White, and Billy White (Tiffany); fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A man of courage with a tremendous love of family and a kind heart, his presence brought joy to his family and friends. He will be truly missed. His passing has left an empty place in the hearts of all who knew him.
