Ann Beatty
Hafford
Sep 3, 1962 — Mar 16, 2022
Beaumont
On September 3, 1962, a beautiful baby girl named Ann Beatty was born to Arthur Joseph and Marie Beatty.
From childhood to adulthood, Ann's feisty attitude and humble spirit left a mark on all those she encountered.
Ann received her education through the Jasper School District, Class of 1980, and her higher education through Lamar University programs, receiving multiple certifications.
Ann welcomed her one and only "Sonshine" Derrick Beatty, whom she loved and spoiled. Ann, a.k.a., "Boobie," met and married her best friend and the love of her life, Kenneth Paul Hafford. They shared a union of over 30 years together. She had a love for her dog, Abbey, like no other. Abbey became her baby. Ann accepted Christ at a young age. She became a member of Greater Good Hope Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas. She enjoyed learning about Christ and attending her weekly Bible Study with friends online (Mrs. Martha).
Ann worked at Temple Inland for the greater part of her career until it closed. She later worked at Motiva until her health failed, and she became a stay-at-home wife caring for her family. Ann had a one-of-a-kind personality. Always ready to help out, Ann was known as "Aunt Ann," "Anna Mae," "Annie Boosie," and "Boobie" by family and friends. She took pride in her husband, son, Abbey, and her family, who were the light of her world.
Ann loved watching wrestling, football, cooking, working in her yard, being around family, and getting her hair and nails done was a must.
We can rest assured knowing that Ann is in a better place, and she spent her last days at peace surrounded by family. Her spirit smiled, and the love she had for us will always live in us.
Ann was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Ann leaves to cherish her life and memories: her loving spouse, Kenneth Paul Hafford of Beaumont, Texas; one son, Derrick Beatty of Jasper, Texas; dog, Abbey of Beaumont, Texas; five sisters, Audrey Jackson of Atascocita, Texas, Elaine Beatty of Jasper, Texas, and Brenda Samuel (Michael), Amanda Beatty, and Michelle Twine, all of Beaumont, Texas; two brothers, Tommy Beatty (Casonya) of Houston, Texas, and Clifton Beatty of Jasper, Texas; a special aunt, Linda Williams of Beaumont, Texas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
