Obituary

Artimisha Fuller Rogers was born on August 15, 1941, in Newton, Texas, to the late Reverend Modishaw and Elizabeth Fuller. She attended Kerr High School in Newton.

Later in life, she met and married Oscar Rogers, Jr., and they were blessed in marriage for 30 years. She was blessed with seven children and two stepchildren.

"Arti," as she was affectionately known, loved the Lord and was very active in the church. She attended Inner Court Ministries, New Life Changers Christian Center, and most recently, New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C.

Arti worked as a Home Health Aide and at Kirby Lumber Company. She loved gardening, planting flowers, church activities, Bible study, and music. She had a deep love for her family and loved family dinners and gatherings.

Arti was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Modishaw and Elizabeth Fuller; husband, Oscar Rogers, Jr.; daughter, Doretha Simmons; and siblings, Sadie Ruth Bennett, Terry Fuller, Obadiah Fuller, Russell Fuller, Enoch Fuller, and Josiah Fuller.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory to her children, Mary Sanders, Joyce McNulty (Joe), Teresa Hafford (Ivan), Branis Johnson, Patricia Johnson, and Dextyn L. Cobbs (Terrance); stepson, Billy Rogers (Marvin Ann) and Reverend Alvin Walker; 27 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
