Barry Allen
Joiner
Oct 19, 1964 — Feb 6, 2024
Jasper
Barry Allen Joiner was born to the late John Henry and Betty Joiner in Newton County, Texas, on October 19, 1964.
He was raised in the Shankleville Community and resided in Jasper, Texas, until he was called home on February 6, 2024. Barry dedicated his life to God at an early age and was a member of the Rosebloom Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John Henry Joiner and Betty Joiner; brother, Alvin Joiner; and sister, Carry Mae Davis.
Barry graduated from Burkeville High School, class of 1983. He was a hard worker and worked with his family as a
Skidder driver for many years until his health began to fail.
He enjoyed telling stories about his childhood and visiting with his family and friends. Barry was a consummate
jokester, always had a smile on his face, and you could always count on him for a good laugh. Most importantly, his family was his pride and joy – especially his grandchildren.
Barry joined his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Sells, in holy matrimony on June 10, 1983. To this union, they were blessed with three children.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Marilyn Joiner of Jasper; three children, Daniel Joiner, Tyrell Joiner, and Ashley Authorlee (Armani); six grandchildren, Kaiya Joiner, Khloe Joiner, Kaden Joiner, Mason Joiner, Braylen Authorlee, and Kinsley Joiner; Barry is also survived by his siblings, Joanne Mass (Mike), Lela Mae Rollins (John), Ray Joiner, and Kimbra Joiner; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
