Bennie Mae Adams was born in Newton County on June 22, 1926, to the late Albert and Carrie Adams.

Bennie graduated from Huff Creek School. After school, she moved to Beaumont, Texas, and later to Amarillo, Texas. She returned to Jasper in 2008, after her health started to decline. Bennie lived independently for many years, until her placement into Rayburn Healthcare.

Bennie enjoyed talking about the goodness of God. She was a devout Christian.

Bennie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Carrie Adams, and sixteen siblings.

She was survived by a host of nephews and nieces who loved her dearly and will forever cherish her memory.
