Obituary

Mrs. Betty Sue Larkin entered this life on January 28, 1939, in Jasper, Texas, to the parentage of Forcee and Faye Bronson. She was the fourth of eight children.
Betty Sue graduated from J.H. Rowe High School in Jasper, Texas. She met the love of her life, Wilma Larkin, and they united in holy matrimony in Jasper, Texas. Their union was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Priscilla Faye Larkin. They remained married until Wilma's demise.
Betty Sue lived life to the fullest. Some of her favorite hobbies were sewing, cooking, crossword puzzles, playing dominoes, and enjoying her family. Let's not forget that she also loved chewing and popping gum. It didn't matter if it was Hubba Bubba or penny gum. Her laugh was loud yet contagious. She was bubbly and full of life with a loving heart and caring spirit.
Even during her sickness, she tried not to let it get to her or keep her down. She was truly loved and will be missed dearly.
At an early age Betty Sue accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and united with Armstrong Memorial C.M.E. She later joined Dixie Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board. She remained a faithful member until her health declined.
Betty Sue was employed by Rosston Purina for approximately one year. She went on to work for O.I. Plywood and when the company was bought out by L.P. she remained employed for 30 years until her retirement.
On October 28, 2023, Betty Sue answered the Master's call. She heard her name and peacefully transitioned from time into eternity, at Shady Acres Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Facility, Newton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilma Larkin; parents, Forcee and Faye Bronson; and four brothers, three sisters, and a half-sister.
Betty Sue leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughter, Priscilla Larkin; two grandchildren, Don Larkin and LaTisha Larkin-Edmonson (Vernon); eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives, and friends.
