Obituary

She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Proverbs 31:26

Billie Lee Mahathay was born on July 27, 1944, in Jasper, Texas, to Willie "Snuff" Adams and Fannie Mae Shelby. She was later adopted by Rush and Arelia Limbrick. She confessed Christ at an early age at Westlake Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from J.H. Rowe High School in 1962. Afterwards, she married Albert Dean Cade and they had one child, Teresa Anne Cade. Later she married the love of her life, Bobby Ray
Mahathay, on May 28, 1978.

Billie worked at Ross Purina Chicken Plant for many years. After they shut down, she worked for the Visador Company in Jasper, Texas, until they also shut down. Later on she ventured into Jasper Independent School District in 1998 as a paraprofessional until 2004, where she went to the Department of Instruction as clerical support. She retired from JISD in 2009.

Billie was a talented musician and songstress from a young age. She played the piano for the youth choir at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She was also involved in Sunday school, the church choir, The Women's Mission Group, and Vacation Bible School.

On February 2, 2025, our dear sweet Billie was called home by God to receive her Heavenly wings. She will truly be missed.
