Mr. Booker T. Brooks was the second son born to Sufronia Hines and Wash Brooks on September 26, 1917.

Later he would marry Sedonia Coleman and to this union thirteen children were born. Seven of his children preceded him in death: Gene Aurty Brooks, Donald Ray Brooks, George Melvin Brooks, Jettie Brooks Gibson, Polly Annette Brooks Crooms, Willie Glenn Brooks and Lib Brooks.

Mr. Brooks was a faithful member and Deacon of New Greater Macedonia Baptist Church until his illness. Mr. Brooks would always lead the prayer warrior.

During his life, he worked 35 years at Ribertson Tank Lines in Evadale, Texas which is now DSI Trucking.

Mr. Brooks leaves to cherish his memories: Five Sons: Alvin Earl Brooks (Lela Fern), Eddie Brooks (Delois), L. Joe Brooks Sr. (Millie), Michael Brooks Sr. (Monica) and Ricky Brooks (Wanda) One Loving and Devoted Daughter: Jeanette Brooks Wysingle (James) Two Step-Sons: A.D. Miller and Cameral Miller. Five daughter In Laws: Katy Brooks, Mildred Brooks, Marsha Brooks, Virgina Brooks and Ester Brooks. One Son In Law: Verlex Gibson. As well as over 50 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many many relatives and friends.
