With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brenda Anita Shoulders Barber who was born on June 1, 1955 in Call, Texas to the late Sampson and Helen Shoulders.

On October 20, 2024, Brenda passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Her whole life was devoted to helping and taking care of others. She never met a stranger and she welcomed anyone in her home. And when you got there she would always make sure that you ate something.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Sampson Shoulders; brother, Donald Hodge; sisters, Twana Shoulders and Nancy
Hodge; and grandson, Damian Walker.

Brenda's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her husband, Arthur Barber Jr.; daughters, Latosha, Yolonda and Qwendolyn;
grandkids, Desmond, Catlyn and Jayden; nephews, Tony (Nicole), Erin (Kim), and Stacy (Pan); brothers, Foster and Duke; sisters, Loraine
and Vanessa; bonus daughter, Chynell Crawford and special friends, Frankie Smith, Shirley Jones, Faye and Freddie Ray Loftin; along with lots of other nieces, nephews and close friends whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by many.
