Carry "Clara Mae" Joiner-Davis was born January 24, 1961, to the late Betty Dean and John Henry Joiner. She was the middle child of seven children. She was preceded in death by both parents; and her brother, Alvin Joiner, Jr.

Clara Mae attended school in Wiergate, Texas, and worked multiple jobs throughout her life. She married her husband, Marice Davis, in 2001, and remained a devoted wife until God called her home. Clara Mae was known for her big heart and down to earth personality. She held no fear and a no-holds-barred attitude.

Clara Mae leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Maurice Davis; son, Ricky (Taraia) Joiner; two daughters, Tawanda Curry and Luevonia (Curtis) Buraham, both of Newton, Texas; special nieces raised as her own, Nicole Bosley of Springs, Texas, and Lisa Spears of Austin, Texas; 14 grandchildren, Harold, Rickelle, and Ricky, Jr., all of Houston, Texas, and Dominique, Tynish, Clarissa, Nakiya, Cureuna, Lanesha, Curiya, Ladlevea, Niakole, Morica, and Lotalty; five great-grandchildren, Kobe, Kayden, Sky'lay, Amaiyah, and Kamiya; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives, and friends.
