Charles "Bug" Carter Sr. was born on May 25, 1959, to the late Curtis and Cora Carter in Jasper, Texas.

He departed this life December 9, 2022.

He graduated from Jasper High School, Class of 1977. He then attended Tyler Junior College and worked a couple of jobs throughout his life. These jobs include Louisiana Pacific and becoming a very skilled concrete layer.

Charles was happiest working, making people laugh, cooking soul food, entertaining family and friends with his unique dance moves and spoiling his grandkids.

He accepted Christ at early age.

He is preceded in death by his parents, uncles, Carl, Virgil, Vander, L.J., Tommie Lee, Clen, Lester, and aunts, Jesse Mae, Clara, Sadie Francis.

He leaves to cherish his loving partner: Patsy Larkin; two sons: Charles Carter Jr.(Leslie), Carlos Carter(Taryn) both of Jasper, Texas; daughter: Nevaeh Dorsey of Jasper, Texas; sisters: Vilynda Ruth of San Augustine, Myiesha Leach of Texas City, Texas; bonus sons: Channing Larkin, Sharaud Smith, Cedrick Smith; uncle: James Earl Carter of Jasper, Texas; aunt: Katherine Greer of Jasper, Texas; grandkids: Trent, Phoenix, Bristol, and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
