Charley Chester Cheatham was born to the late Charley Cheatham, Sr., and Myrtle Reed on August 18, 1939, in Weirgate, Texas. He was a graduate from the Weirgate High School in 1957.

Charley was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and uncle to all who graced his presence. He enjoyed spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley Cheatham, Sr., and Myrtle Lee Smith; siblings, Charlene Wilmore, Myrtle Davis, Dora McBride, Vernon Vaughn, Beverly Morehead, Evelyn Simmons, Charlesa Evans, and Richard Smith.

Charley leaves forever memories to his daughters, Renee Cheatham, Luticia McKenzie, Shirley McKenzie, Bobbie Cheeks, and Joann McKenzie; sons, Apostle Don N. McKenzie and Don Wayne McKenzie; granddaughters, Greshawn Comier, Lameka Smith, and Clariece Albert; grandson, Gregory Comier, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
