Thomas "Corey" Thomas was born March 14, 1970, to loving parents, his mother, Evelyn Faye Simmons, father, Roosevelt Thomas, and stepfather, Cornelius Simmons. He departed this life on June 24, 2023, with his beloved mom, Evelyn. Thomas, also known by Corey, and Evelyn were inseparable. Corey graduated from Jasper High School (Bulldogs) in 1989, which made him very proud.

Thomas (Corey) had an entrepreneurial spirit. He distributed the Green Sheet in front of Brookshire Bros., and a newspaper route that he faithfully served throughout the Jasper Community for many years. He was known for his sweet spirit and quiet demeanor with a love for sports, in which he could tell you every football and basketball stat that existed. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved sports, nature, and being with family.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Roosevelt Thomas; sisters, Doralextist Cheatham and Manurica Cheatham; brothers, Jospeh Cheatham; uncles, Chester Cheatham, and Melvin Morehead, Jr.; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and others that he impacted who loved him
dearly.
