Curtis Ray Grant, AKA Hoggie, was born July 26, 1950, in Jasper, Texas.

He attended JH Rowe High School. Curtis retired from the Newton Post and Pole Company after 20 years. He was common law married to Pearline of Newton, TX.

Curtis died on March 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Mary Ella Grant; 5 brothers, Johhny Lee, Arthur Lee, Calvin Jr, Melvin Ray, and Ervin Grant; and one sister, Mammie Warren.

He is survived by 4 siblings: Brenda Grant, Debbie Grant, James Grant, and Mellisa Beatty.
