Mr. Darrell Renard "Sport" Kennebrew was born in Kirbyville, Texas, October 10, 1966, to George Armstrong and Sherry Ann (Kennebrew) Kelly. Darrell peacefully passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his residence. Darrell attended Kirbyville schools, where he was an avid athlete, excelling in every sport. His favorite team was The San Francisco 49ers.

Darrell relocated to Houston, Texas, where he was employed by Elite Protective Services and Houston Intermediate School District as a maintenance coordinator. Darrell loved the Lord and was a member of Transforming Faith Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor James and Tiffiany Edwards. His favorite scripture is Psalm 23.

Darrell leaves to cherish his memories to love, nurture, and embrace, his mother, Sherry Ann Kelly; one and
only son, James Jerome; along with four beautiful grandchildren, Ja'Korian, Isabella, Christopher, and Heyzzal. Darrell was also blessed with a brother, Charles Kennebrew, Sr., of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Donnetta Moore of Mt . Morris, Michigan, Dashundra and Sheree Kelly, of Flint, Michigan; one aunt, Jo Ellen Johnson, of Kirbyville, Texas; cousin/brother, Dilan "Jody" Kennebrew; special nephew, Charles Kennebrew, Jr.; and special friend caregiver, Lisa Coffman. Darrell leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
