Donnell Reavon Garrett was born January 7, 1955, to the late Ivory and Erma Garrett. He departed this earthly life on November 2, 2024.

Donnell joined the Marine Corps in 1976. He was employed with the City of Jasper for several years. Later, he worked in the construction field until his health began to fail.

Donnell never met a stranger, and he was the life of the party. He was a Jokester a heart. He enjoyed carpentry, working on cars and machines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivory and Erma Garrett; wife, Sabrina Garrett; and siblings, Lisa Garrett and Calvin Garrett.

Donnell leaves everlasting memories to his children, Casey Brookes (Kim), Shavone Brooks, Shana Brooks, Don Steven Brooks, Alvin Garrett, and David Garrett; siblings, Rita Hennington, Autie Gasaway (Albert), Diane Mays (Dent), Ivory Lee Garrett (Monica), Sharon Garrett, Jennifer Berry (Carlos), Cassandra Garrett, and Cornelia Garrett; special friend, Becky; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other relatives and friend.
