Earnest Williams,
Jr.
May 17, 1952 — Apr 9, 2025
EARNEST WILLIAMS JR. (nickname "Bubba" and "Monkee" to his friends) was born to Everline Limbrick Williams and Earnest Williams, Sr., on May 17, 1952 in Jasper, Texas. He was the fourth of ten children born to this union. He met and married Beulah Cratic and to this union, one child was born (Debbie); and he adopted Beulah's first child (Kate). He is preceded in death by his parents.
Earnest accepted Christ during his young years and also attended J. H. Rowe School in Jasper, Texas.
Earnest during his young developing years was a tinker – loved to take things apart and put them back together - no matter the source. He was quiet, loving, respectful, and a very smart person. He possessed a quiet, sneaky smile to his family and friends which made you wonder what he is thinking. During his formative school years, he opted out of attending school to help his family
financially by taking on various jobs (chicken catcher at night, car washer during the day, etc.).
Earnest's tinkling in his early childhood (GOD's Grace) developed into an auto repair mechanic (self-taught skill and trade). He was an incredibly good mechanic. People around the community and town would seek him out to do a repair job. He never stopped until the job was done. Sometimes not being paid, but helping when and where needed.
Earnest was surrounded by loved ones as he made his final journey. All will miss his presence. Earnest leaves to cherish his previous memories two daughters: Debbie Williams Barlow (Wadell, Sr.) and Wanda Kaye Jackson both of Jasper, Texas; nine siblings, Earnestine Mays, Stacie Wallace (Delton), Monique Wysinger (Robert), Jacqueline Beatty (Charles), Judith Rigsby (Dennis), St. Isaiah Williams, Elvis Williams (Jean) of Jasper County, Ethel Bluitt (Vernon), Darlene Mattox (Ernest) of Newton County; four special sisters, Melinda Smith, Betsy Adams, Camelia Lockhart, and Marie Sutton; along with six grandchildren, Janice McQueen, Shanice Shelby, Jasmine Shelby, Prentice Barlow, Charles Adams, Jr. and Raydarwin Adams; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives
