Emilya leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Anthony Gatson and Renesha Fobbs; siblings Aniya Gatson, De'Khairius Lewis, and Anthony Gatson Jr.; grandparents Janette Gatson, Harvey Hawthorn, Chester Fobbs, and Michael & Tracii Green; her beloved "Gigi," Sheryl-Richard Jackson; aunts Tammy (Gene) Ford, Sherita Gatson, Stacy Gatson, Tracina Fobbs, Shelisa Parish, and Lakeisha (Terry) Young; uncles Christopher Gatson, Corey Gatson, and Chester Dewayne Fobbs; godmothers Anna Smith and Lakeitha Smith; godfathers Morris Smith and Bernard Smith; and a host of extended family members who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Even though she was only here for a short time, Emilya touched everyone she came in contact with. Her caregivers often said, "Little girl, big personality"—a reflection of the joy and light she brought into every room.
