Obituary

Eula "Motherdear" Jackson was born October 2, 1926 in Hemphill, Texas to Van and Nevada Parks.

She transitioned into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ at Solera at West Houston, Houston, Texas on Independence Day, July 4, 2020. This was truly her independence from this troubled world to "a better place!"

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Paul Jackson who preceded her in death.

Sister Jackson became a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age, and she was a faithful member of the choir and graced God's people with her beautiful alto voice for many years. Her favorite song was "I Won't Complain."

She loved gardening and raised one of the most luscious productive gardens in Hemphill, Texas! Her delicious chicken dressing and egg pies were renowned!

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons; Dwayne (Denice) Davis of Lufkin, Texas and Allen (Marsha) Allison of Houston, Texas; two daughters; Sherry Duruji of Houston, Texas and Arnette (James) Young of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grand, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends in Hemphill, Texas.
