Evelyn Little was born in Omega, Georgia on June 7, 1941 to the late Perkins "Buddy" and Gladys Little. She attended local schools in Georgia and later moved to Amityville, New York where she continued her education attending Copiague High School. Evelyn moved from New York to Atlanta, Ga. Eventually settling and making her home in Jasper, Texas continuing her education in Texas at Angelina College

After moving to Jasper, Texas Evelyn became an entrepreneur, securing state and federal contracts for her cleaning service where she enriched the community she lived by hiring people from within that community. She was a very well-known servant in her community where she enjoyed her weekly work with the prison system rehabilitation ministry.  Throughout her recent stay at the rehabilitation facility, the administration allowed Evelyn to minister to other residents, offering words of encouragement and uplifting their spirits.  She had that get up and go spirit about her, she was a God-fearing woman who was always spreading the word of the Lord.  Evelyn loved traveling to annual Amityville New, York reunions and Aunt Bertha's annual town birthday celebrations of 100 years plus.  She truly loved family and friends.

Evelyn Little departed this life on Monday August 3, 2020. She leave to cherish her memory 2 Sisters:  Estelle Allen of Southfield, Mi. and her 4 children Pamela Bradshaw, Antoinette Allen-Manns, Carolyn Maddix and Pernele Allen;  Gail Moore (William) of Saint Lucie, Fl. and her 5 children, Felicia Turner, Theresa Clark, Daniell Toles, Clifford Clark and James Clark Jr.; A special Uncle Otis Didley Jr. and Aunt Ollie Mae; special friends Imogene Hadnot and Brenda Sondej; her special neighbor Betty Lane and a host of cherished great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.
