Florence Lee Smith, loving mother of two, transitioned at the age of 68. Florence was born on March 5, 1952, in Newton County, Texas, to Vonzo and Cassie (Thomas) Allen. She attended Kirbyville West High School. She was a long-time member of the Mt. Mariah Church of Call, TX, and later became a member of the Faith Temple Church of Jasper. She worked as a dietitian for 43 years. Preceding her in death are her parents; brothers, Kenzie Sparrow, Everett Holmes, Jr., and Clarence Allen; and aunt, Beverly Diggles. Florence leaves to cherish her memories: children who loved her dearly, son, Shawn Allen of Lufkin, TX, and daughter, Deloris Traylor of Jasper, TX; grandsons, Courtney Allen and Kendall Allen; great-grands, Kysen Allen of Newton, TX, and Mason of Lufkin, TX; aunts, Catherine Barnett, Brenda Young, and Delcine Johnson, all of Kirbyville, Dora Lee Allen of Houston, TX, and Teresa Kennebrew of Lake Charles, LA; uncles, Jackie Ray Allen of Kirbyville, TX, Demetris Murphy (Katherine) of Beaumont, TX, Carl Kennebrew (Betty) of Jasper, TX, C.L. Kennebrew (Sandra) of Silsbee, TX, Ervin Kennebrew of Jasper, and Douglas Kennebrew of Pineland, TX; as well as a host of other family and friends.
