Georgia Mae
Hunter
Dec 27, 1935 — Apr 8, 2022
Jasper
Georgia Mae Johnson Hunter known by her children and grandchildren as "Madea" was born December 27, 1935, in Pineland, Texas to George Hunt and Murtha Mitchell Hunt.
Georgia married Kenzie Eddie Williams Jr. (preceded her in death) to whom four children were born: Leah Joyce Williams, Leah Mae Adams (Louis), Ethel K Williams and Eddie Kenzie known as Sonny.
Later, she met and married Zera Lee Johnson (preceded her in death) to whom two children were born: Lester Ray Johnson and Karen E. Johnson.
In Georgia's younger years she sang with a gospel group called the Carvettes along with her sisters, Doris and Eardie Mae. She has written several sons but only one recorded on record. Georgia loved to fish; she would feed the whole community through fishing; and she had a green thumb, she could grow whatever she put her hands on!!!
She had a very unselfish heart and was there for her friends and family, especially the elderly. She was always in their presence, visiting or taking them wherever from Pineland to Louisiana.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Eddie Kenzie Williams; and 6 siblings, Doris, Eardie, Joe, Glenn and Clark.
Georgia leaves to cherish her everlasting memories; five children; Joyce Williams, Leah Mae Adams (Louis), Ethel K Williams, Lester Johnson and Karen Johnson; four remaining siblings, Raymond Hunt, Donald Hunt, Craig Hunt and Sheila Smith; eleven (11) grandchildren, thirty-four (34) great grands and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
