Mrs. Gladys Kenebrew Bowie transitioned peacefully on Fridays, August 16, 2019 at the age of 64. She was born on January 16, 1955 in Newton County Texas to the late Willie Kenebrew and Jewel Lee Page Kenebrew. Mrs. Bowie was united in Holy Matrimony to Lewis Bowie on October 7, 1972. To this union two children were born.

After many years of hard work and dedication she retired. She was an active member of Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont.

Mrs. Bowie was preceded in by her parents and husband. Left on earth to treasure her memories are her two loving daughters; Rachel Hadnot (Joseph) and Kimberly Abdulsalam (Deli); one brother, Ezekiel Kenebrew; eight sister, Ida Mae Chaney (Curtis), Maeomie Traylor (Harlee), Betty Faye Brassfield (Sam), Willie V. Kenebrew, Patricia Gulley, Laurel White, Verda Kenebrew and Linda Kenebrew; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Christiana, Breanna, Kira, Chance, Amya and Julius and one great grandchild, Kai. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
