Harold Smith, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 1, 2021. His funeral service will be held at Jasper City Cemetery in Jasper, Texas on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 12:00PM.
Harold Smith was born on July 15, 1945 in Jasper, Texas to the late Dessie and Marshall Smith. At an early age, he joined Mount Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. N.P. Johnson in Jasper, Texas. He attended J. H. Rowe High School as a student and played football where he developed his love for the game of football.
Harold enjoyed watching football games and his favorite teams were the former Houston Oilers and Houston Texans with no love for the Dallas Cowboys. He spent his Sunday afternoons awaiting the upcoming football games until his last day here on earth.

He was also a faithful member of Moore Chapel CME Church in Jasper, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Charles Chalk where he served as a faithful member until he went home to be with the Lord.
Harold was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves to cherish in his memory his sons and daughter: Harold Gene Smith Jr., Tusshun Smith, and Tyrone Smith (DeMonica Smith) and Olean Rae Lemons; nine grandchildren – Rocky Mills, Whitney Smith, Mikayla Smith, Johntrice Coleman, Charise Lemons, Shantrice Johnson, Amada Smith, Tyrone Smith II, and Tyler Smith; twelve great grandchildren – Kayliah, Courtney, Zyreal, Davena, Desire, Mason, Mariah, Major, Mackenzie, Karsen James, Jayden Mills, Ava-Rose and Eva-Reign; five siblings – Betty Jean Guy, Alice Faye Bryant, Charles Edward Smith, Earl Smith, Jerry Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
