Ida Mae Bennett was born on May 11, 1955, in Newton, Texas, to Hartha and Sadie Ruth Bennett.

Ida accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She loved going to church. She was a dedicated mother and enjoyed family. She was a CNA. She was employed at Avalon Place in Kirbyville.

Ida leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Eric Garret; children, Glenn Bennett, Sybil Mclemore, and Roddrick Bennett (Jessica); grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; five brothers, six sisters, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
