Jacqualine Holmes was born March 18. 1956 to the late Emma Lee and Billy Hunter, Sr. She was one of seven children. She was preceded in death by both parents; one sister, Hazel Twine; and two brothers, Lynn Hunter and Henry Lee Breed.

Jacqualine attended school in Jasper, Texas. She lived and worked in Jasper until she retired from working in Home Health for many years.

Jacqualine was a very loving friend to many people. She was known for her kind-heartedness and also her bubbly personality. She never met a stranger; everybody was family.

She attended the Jasper Circuit Memorial UMC under the direction of Dr. Sandra Wright.

Jacqualine leaves to cherish her memories: her children; Craig Hunter, Alissa Hunter, DeMarcus Holmes, all of Jasper, TX, Walter Holmes (Jasmine) of Houston, TX, and John Hunter of Baytown, TX; sixteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves a special and dear friend, Gregory Matthews (Pops); two brothers, Thomas Hunter (Deborah) and Billy Hunter (Darlene); one sister, Charolette Hunter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
