Jacqueline "Jackie" Johnson was born on March 10, 1962, in Omaha, Texas, to William Grant and Bennie Horsley. She was raised in Dallas, Texas, where she spent most of her adult life and met her husband, Kenneth Johnson.

In her later years, Jackie moved to Atlanta, Texas, where she raised her two daughters, Asia Samuel and Kayla Hughey. She later relocated to Kirbyville, Texas, to be closer to her girls.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, mother, and grandson, Zaiden.

She is survived by her daughters, Asia Samuel and Kayla Hughey; beloved grandchildren, Zauriana, Zayshawn, Zakayln, and Malaysia; brothers, David Grant and Wendell Grant; sister, Sophia Canady; as well as a host of other family and friends.
