James was born on June 28, 1947 to the late James Green and Lois Cauley Green. He graduated from J.H. Rowe in 1966. He was a very kind man and always smiling and ready to help. He worked a few years in the logging industry until his health failed him.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James Green and Lois Cauley Green; loving companion, Lillie Hadnot Green; brothers, Leroy Green and Leo Green; a sister, Thelma Thomas; brother-in-law, Leon Simmons; and sister-in-law, Nancie Green; daughter, Elizabeth Hadnot; and sons, James E Green and Chris Hadnot.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Toya Hadnot, Anita Twine, Wanda Jackson, and Rosie Shoemaker; sons, Richie Smith, Terry Bronson, Bruce Hadnot, and Albert Hadnot; special son in law, Demetris Dean; sister, Lillie Simmons; and sister-in-law, Barbara Green. He also leaves to mourn several grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, and nephews, and played a huge part in raising two of his grandkids, Daytric Hadnot and Tatyana Rawls. He will truly be missed.
