James Edward Traylor, Jr. was born on October 2, 1968, in Jasper, Texas, to the late James Edward, Sr., and Clifford Farr Traylor. He accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Rosebloom Missionary Baptist Church.

James graduated from Jasper High School, Class of 1987. After graduation, he began his career in the logging industry with many of his friends until his health failed.

He had a great sense of humor with a heart of gold. James was known for his smile. Throughout his challenges, it never changed. He loved family and treasured his children, embracing every moment he could with them.

James is preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Clifford Traylor, and his son, Tramarcus Traylor, Sr.

James leaves to celebrate his life four daughters, Gabrielle Traylor of Jasper, TX, Nikolette Arnold of Houston, TX, LaPrecious Traylor of Jasper, TX, and Kadence Traylor of Jasper, TX; two sons, Keelan Traylor of Jasper, TX, and DeQuinton Traylor of Jasper, TX; eight grandchildren; siblings, James Arthur Cheatham (JoAnn) of Houston, TX, Frankie Kyle of Jasper, TX, Bonnie Bennett of Houston, TX, Don Cheatham (Betty) of Houston, TX, Cora Ross (Louis) of Jasper, TX, Sandrus Traylor of Jasper, TX, and Celicia McCarter (Arthur Joe) of Jasper, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
