Jason
Filer
Dec 1, 1973 — Aug 7, 2026
Jason Filer was born on December 21, 1973, and departed this life on August 6, 2026.
Jason was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose life touched those around him in his own special way. He was deeply loved by his family, and his presence became a familiar and treasured part of their lives.
Jason found joy in the simple things. Anyone who truly knew Jason knew about his love for Spider-Man. He also loved drinking his water, something so simple yet so uniquely Jason that it became one of the little things his family will always remember with a smile. These memories, along with countless others shared throughout the years, will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Jason was also one of the first members of the Qumran Community Assembly. From the early days of the assembly, Jason remained a faithful member of the community. His presence among the mishpacha became a meaningful part of the assembly's history, and he will always be remembered as one of those who was there from the beginning.
Jason was surrounded by a large and loving family. Through every season of his life, he had parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family who knew him, cared for him, and shared life with him. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the memories created during his 52 years of life will continue through the generations of his family.
Jason leaves to cherish his precious memory: his parents, Gloria and Kenneth Rogers, Sr., and his father, Steven Filer.
He also leaves to cherish his memory: his siblings, Jeremy Filer (Kashmir), Kenneth Rogers, Jr. (Devane), Michael Rogers, Sr. (Keshia), Trase Fredricks, Kelly Rogers, Katrina Rogers, and Kennetha Rogers; along with an abundance of nieces and nephews who loved their uncle dearly.
Jason's life will not simply be remembered by the dates of his birth and passing, but by the memories between those dates—the laughter, the familiar moments, the things he enjoyed, his faithfulness to his assembly, and the love shared between Jason and his family.
As the family says goodbye to Jason, they will continue carrying those memories with them. His place within the family and the Qumran Community will never be forgotten, and his memory will remain a part of those who knew and loved him for generations to come.
Forever in our hearts.
