Jeanette Wysingle was born January 18, 1951, in Newton County, Texas, to the late Booker T. and Sedonia Brooks. She graduated from Silsbee High School in 1969. In 1970, Jeanette married Oran Wayne Garrett. After marriage, they moved to Houston, Texas, where their daughter, Eureka Danielle Garrett was born. Jeanette had two sons, Sedon Lamon and Solomon Guiffre with Lamar Evans. In 2000, she married the late James Cecil Wysingle and they lived an active life in Jasper, Texas, but later retired in Burkeville, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her late husband of more than 20 years, James Wysinge; parents, Booker T. and Sedonia Brooks; son, Solomon Guiffre Evans; sisters, Jettie Brooks-Gibson and Paulanette Brooks-Crooms; brothers, Gene Autry Brooks, Donald Ray Brooks, LB Brooks, George Melvin Brooks, Willie Gene Brooks, and Eddie Lee Brooks.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two children, Eureka Danielle Garrett and Sedon Lamon Evans (Houston, Texas); grandchildren, Ja' Kayla, Aiden and Syion (Houston, Texas); brothers, Alvin Earl Brooks (Lela) of Fort Worth, Texas, Joe Brooks of Houston, Texas, Michael Brooks (Monika) of Munich, Germany, Ricky Brooks (Wanda Jo) of Jasper, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
