Jessie Lee Adams, Sr., was born on September 30, 1931, to the late Albert and Carrie Asberry Adams.

He met Alice Midred Cade and they were married on November 17, 1951.

He joined the church at an early age.

Preceded him death are: his wife, Alice M. Cade Adams; one son, Minister Clauda Adams; and one great-granddaughter, Anderyonne Price.

He leaves in God's hands: five children, Jane Adams (Eddie) Douglas of Houston, TX, Minister Jessie L. (Earnestine) Adams, Jr., Mildred Adams, Barbara Adams Thomas, and Missouri Rogers (Donald) Thomas, all of Jasper, TX; two sisters, Bennie Adams and Alzadie White; eighteen grandchildren; sixty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
