On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, Joyce L. Taylor, loving mother of three, transitioned.

Joyce L. Taylor was born on April 24, 1951, to the late Roosevelt and Beulah Grant. She was the baby of 12 siblings.

Joyce accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She attended St. Paul AME Church, where she sang in the choir.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Roosevelt and Beulah Grant; her siblings, Charlene Shankle, Chester Grant, Edward Grant, Donald Ray Grant, Maxine Grant, Thelma Grant, Theodore Grant, and June Evelyn Cooper; and last but not least, her baby boy, Stevie Rashad Shepherd.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memories: son, Matthew Blair Jr. (Tonya); daughter, L'Tanya Renee Blair; grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Blair, Marcus Jay Blair, Nneka Renee Omoruyi, and Nicholas O'nehi Omoruyi; sister, Bobby Chatmon; brothers, Eddison Grant, Sr. (Mary Lee) and Ulysses Grant; and a host of nephews, nieces, other family, and friends.
