On September 14, 1967 Kervin Joe Davis also known as Kevin, was born to Berdie Mae Davis and Willie James Spikes in Weirgate, Texas. Kervin was the fifth born child to Berdie Davis and the eldest son of Willie James Spikes.

Kervin attended school in Burkeville, where he was active in Football, Baseball, and Tennis. Kervin graduated from Burkeville Highschool in 1985. Shortly after graduation he began attending University Technical Institute in Houston, Texas where he earned an Associated Degree in Diesel Mechanic in 1987. Kervin continued living in Houston, Texas until 1995.

Kervin and Brenda met 1985 and later that year became a couple. They lived in Houston, Texas together until 1995. Kervin and Brenda returned to Newton, County to live in 1995 where they lived together until his death.

Kervin maintained employment to provide for his family. His final place of employment was with AECOM where he was employed a few months short of 16 years.

In 1997, Kervin and Brenda welcomed Kervin's only child and son into the world, Keynan Ray'nal Davis. Kervin was an active father and grandfather to his grandchildren Landon Ray Rash, Aubri Raine Davis, and Grayson Alexander LeBlanc.

Kevin would often volunteer his spare time visiting and assisting individuals at the local nursing home, Shady Acres. Kervin often provided spring break and/or summer vacation to his nieces, nephews and children from his home communities to Houston during his time living in Houston. He was always open to a few extra passengers to any other local cities he and Brenda would visit as well. Kervin was always willing to assist
those around him in any way possible and will always be remembered for his sense of humor.
