Laverne "Audrey" Barlow Alfred was born on February 2, 1944 in Magnolia Springs, Texas to the late Mildred Oliphant and Charlie Barlow.

Audrey was a faithful member of the Biloxi CME C.O.G.I.C. where she served as the church secretary.

Audrey had a passion for caring for others which lead her to working in healthcare for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, gardening, singing, spending time with family, and visiting people in her community.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Alfred, son, Lonnie Alfred, and grandson, Lesley Johnson.

Audrey leaves to cherish her memory one son, Michael Alfred; one sister, Burine Searl (Paul); seven grandchildren, Lonyekia Myers, Brandon Johnson, Isaiah Myers, Kendall Joiner, Ashley Wagner, Kendrick Johnson, and Andrew Alfred, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.
