Lelia Mae Titus, 98, was a former resident of Jasper, Texas. Lelia Mae Titus passed away on September 21, 2021, at Park Manor Nursing Home in Houston, Texas

Lelia was born on July 12, 1921, in Meridian, Mississippi to Seth and Leona Stewart in a family of six children. Lelia was not the youngest, but was the last surviving child.

She was a very talented homemaker who learned to sew, became an excellent cook, and ran a kindergarten school from her home; and all of these skills she later used working a public school and in the hospital dietary department. Lelia was extremely active in her local community, serving as PTA President, homeroom mother, and church volunteer.

She is survived by: her children, Fynas W. Titus, Jr., and Van R. Titus; her daughter, Frances Moore; grandchildren, Crystal Weeks, Fynas W. Titus III, and Jessica Williams; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
