Linda Hadnot
Barlow
Jul 25, 1950 — Apr 29, 2025
Linda Faye Hadnot Barlow was born on July 25, 1950, in Jasper, Texas, to the late Naomi and Herbert Hadnot. From an early age, Linda was devoted to her faith, beginning her spiritual journey at Moss Temple Sanctified Church. Later in life, she became a faithful member of Jesus Christ Holy Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Apostle Gregory Chambers, where she worshipped until her health no longer permitted.
A proud graduate of J.H. Rowe High School, Class of 1968, she went on to attend Job Corps in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She later pursued a career in dietary services, serving with dedication and compassion as the Dietitian Supervisor at Mary Dickerson Hospital for over 12 years. Though she retired due to health concerns, her commitment to caring for others never wavered, and she continued to offer support and kindness in every way she could.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi and Herbert Hadnot; her beloved daughter, Torri Barlow Merrick (Corey); and siblings, Rachel Grant, Dorothy Seale, Peggy Pittman, Audrey Peters, Betty Faye Hadnot, Thelma Grant, Rosie Lee Nelson, Narvlee May, Laura Mae Bevil, Charles Hadnot, R.J. Hadnot, Hebert Hadnot, Jr., and W.B. Ashworth.
She leaves behind a loving legacy through her devoted husband of 55 years, Herbert Barlow, Sr.; children, LaShunda Adams (Glenn), Herbert Barlow, Jr. (Bridgett), and LaQuandra Barlow; her cherished bonus daughter, Tiffany Rawls. She is also survived by her siblings, Lottie Pegues (Willie), Mary Ann Porter, Hubert Hadnot (Eddie Joyce), and Raymon Grant.
Linda's memory will live on through her special friends, Katie Faye Williams and Gloria Sylvester, her high school classmates of 1968, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Linda will be remembered for her unwavering faith, kind heart, and deep love for her family. She touched many lives and leaves behind a beautiful legacy of service, strength, and grace.
