A peaceful life came to a close on Thursday, July 10, 2025, as Linda Faye Holmes passed away in her home. Linda was born on November 30, 1960, to Jim A. Holmes and Ola Mae Holmes Adams. She attended J. H. Rowe in Jasper, Texas, and later Middle School in San Augustine, Texas.

She was a devoted member of Method Epistle Church in the Maxey Town Community of San Augustine. Linda was known for her joyful spirit and infectious laughter, always bringing smiles to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim A. Holmes and Ola Mae Holmes; her brother, James R. Holmes of Jasper; two sisters, Anna L. Holmes and Sandra Richardson; and a beloved cousin, Kirby Limbrick, Jr.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her brother, James R. Holmes of Jasper; two sisters, Alice Holmes (Robert Jackson) and Vilynda Ruth of San Augustine; a special cousin, Cora M. Limbrick of Jasper; three nieces, LaDericka Cartwright (Jamie), VaShonda Ruth Watson (Bob), and Desiree R. Holmes; two nephews, Byron J. Jones of San Augustine and Anthony J. Holmes (Jackie) of Jasper; seven great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
