She was born on February 2, 1962, in Newton County, Texas, to the late Odis Ray Samuel and mother, Alberta Kelley Samuel. Linda attended Newton High School. She gave her life to Christ and was a lifelong member of the Lighthouse Ministries Church of God in Christ of Jasper, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Odis Ray Samuel, and eldest daughter, Nakisha Samuel.

Loving memories of Linda will forever be cherished by: her husband, Billy Ray; daughters, Dalondia Samuel, LaToya Samuel, Quinetta Samuel, Tracy Samuel, and Kimberly Henry; mother, Alberta Samuel; brothers, Otis Ray Samuel, Johnny Samuel, Bobby Charles Samuel,
and Bruce Samuel; sister, Mertie Lee Farr; six sisters-in-laws; sixteen grand-children; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
