Lucille Wright Larkin was born in Jasper, TX to Lester and Frances Wright on February 17, 1926. She graduated from JH Rowe High School in 1943, and then went on and married Amos Larkin Jr. and to this union eight children were born.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the tender age of seven. She was a member of Dixie Baptist Church for over eighty years. She served as a mission sister and loved being a part of the Dixie Choir. She influenced and touched the lives of everyone she met.

On October 15, 2021, Lucille transitioned home to be with the Lord. Proceeding her in death was her husband Amos Larkin Jr.; her parents, Frances Bluitt and Lester Wright; her children, Mamie Lucille Larkin, Bozzie Larkin, Charles Larkin and Raymond Larkin; her grandchildren Derrick Larkin and Ray Larkin.

She leaves the memories of her life to be treasured by her loving family: daughters Mary Larkin and Linda Larkin of Jasper, TX and Wanda (Fred) Byrd of Missouri City, TX; son Ivory (Juanita) Larkin of Houston, TX; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
