Mamie Fowler of Jasper, TX, was born July 15, 1938, to Mr. President and Mrs. Parthener Mays, who both preceded her in death. She accepted Christ and was baptized at Westside Church of Christ. Mamie attended JH Rowe School in Jasper, Texas. She later met and married the love of her life, Bobbie 'Bill' Fowler, on June 2, 1954, and to this union ten children were born.

Mamie remained a devoted Mother, Grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend until her death on April 3, 2022.

Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, President and Parthener Mays; husband, Bobbie "Bill" Fowler; daughters, Barbara Joyce Fowler, and Jeanette Fowler Vidito; and six brothers, Raymond Mays, Freddie Lee Mays, Eddie B Mays, EJ Mays, Bobby Mays, and Billie Joe Mays.

Mamie leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Patsy Fowler (Lee) Jasper, TX; Brenda Fowler, Jasper, TX; Mary Watson (Ray) of Jasper, Texas, Anie Traylor (Kent) of Jasper, Texas. Four sons, Kenneth Fowler of Jasper, Texas; Bobby Ray Fowler of Newton, Texas; John Fowler (Sally) of Jasper, Texas, Wilber Fowler (Janice) of Jasper, Texas. Three sisters, Lillie Fillyaw of (Clayton) Jasper, Texas, Mildred Williams of Jasper, Texas, Betty Tukes (Lavel, Sr.) of Jasper, Texas. Two brothers, Dent Mays (Diane) of Jasper, Texas, and Tommy Lee Mays (LaQuinta) of Jasper, Texas. She also leaves behind 28 Grandchildren, 55 Great Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
