Obituary

Marease Demond Singleton, 49, of Geneva, Texas, passed away on August 10, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1975, in Jasper, Texas, to Janette Singleton and Frank Thompson.

Marease graduated from Hemphill High School and attended Angelina College. In 2001, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he later pursued a career as a welder.

He was known for his big heart, his protective nature, and the way he always put family first. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and found joy in the simplest of times together. Among his greatest joys in life was the bond he shared with his children. He expressed his love through the time, care, and devotion he gave to them—always guiding, protecting, and encouraging them.

Marease also had a passion for cars and will always be remembered for his love of Buicks. Whether it was sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply enjoying time with family, he left an impact that will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janette Singleton; grandmother, Dorothy Singleton; grandfather, Mark Singleton; and nephew, Kendall Singleton.

He is survived by his beloved children: Breandria (Renwick Jr.), Meiyia, Ashanti, Dorian, Dre, Marvin, Tabren, Lexington, and Marease Jr.; as well as his cherished bonus children: Marquist, Roderick, and Ja'Corey. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

In addition to his immediate family, Marease is survived by his siblings: Marysal "BG" Singleton, Tiffany Singleton, Anthony Singleton, Germaine Singleton, and Ranodda White; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Marease will forever remain in our hearts as a loving father, a loyal friend, and a guiding light. His memory will live on in all of us. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories.
