Margaret Ann Ervine was born on August 17, 1953, in DeQuincy, Louisiana to the late Benjamin and Abbie Ashworth. Margaret grew up in the Biloxi Community and spent her early childhood in the Sandjack Community. Margaret attended Biloxi School and Newton High School. She worked as a housekeeper for many years.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lewis Ervine; parents, Benjamin and Abbie Ashworth; 5 siblings, Minnie Ola Spikes, Roy Lee Ashworth, Benjamin Ashworth, Leola Williams, and Martha Kay Jenkins.

She leaves to cherish her memory: 4 sons, Clifton (Yukie) Ashworth of San Antonio, TX, Cordis (Audrey) Ashworth of Jasper, TX, Benjamin Earl Ashworth, Reginald Ashworth both of Bon Wier, TX; 2 brothers, Robert Lynn Ashworth of Bon Wier, TX, Steve Jenkins of Huntsville, TX; 1 sister, Earnestine Ashworth of Call, TX; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 uncles, 1 aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
