Margie was born on August 26, 1958, in Orange, Texas, to R.V. Garrett, Jr., and Juanita Love Garrett. She was a resident of San Antonio, Texas, when she passed.

She worked in different roles in her lifetime, but taking care of people was what she loved to do.

She is survived by her children: Cynthia Mathis (Harold), LaNae Garrett, Cartrice Garrett, Suwania Hunter (Charles), Tyrus McBride, and Dylan McBride;

grandchildren: Semone Moore (Braxton), Xavier Adams, Asia Spencer (Jacquish), Dayshon Walker (Diuntre), Rickeon Garrett, Shaquel Richard, Stephan Richard, Marquita Garrett, DeKyran White, Tony Figgers, Jr., Tyesha Figgers, Keyanna Figgers, Sanai Woods, DeVonsha Hunter, Sakari Harris, Jaeterrai McBride, Kayla McBride, Dylan McBride, Jr., Sasha McBride, Adian McBride, and Brook McBride; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Her love extended to a host of play and adopted daughters, sons, nieces, and nephews.
