Marvis Alix Wilson was born on January 5, 1976, in Jasper, Texas, to Sherry and Major Wilson.

He graduated from Jasper High School in 1994. After high school, Marvis attended Texas State Technical College (TSTC) and graduated in 1997 with a certification in Welding.

Marvis was employed with various companies during his career including Hendee Enterprises (1997-2003), Piping Technology and Products (2003-2009), and Merit Medical Manufacturing (2018-2019).

Marvis was raised in the church and was a member of the Moore Chapel CME Church until his passing.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Major Wilson and Sherry Wilson; brother, Marcus Wilson; nieces, Bianca, Haley, Madison, Jadyn Wilson; nephew, Corbin Calip-Wilson; goddaughter, Jala Ross, Paige Palmer, and a host of other relatives and friends.
