Obituary

Mary A. Garrett was an extraordinary woman and kind beyond words.  She epitomized hospitality by treating everyone who walked into her life as family.  She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and an exceptional friend to anyone who had the privilege of truly knowing her.

She was born on March 29, 1944, in San Augustine, Texas to the late Lou Jean Garrett and R. E. Lane who proceed her in eternal rest. Her life came to an end on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston, Texas.

She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and continue her faith until her passing.  She faithfully worship at Goodwill Baptist Church in Pineland, Texas.  She later moved to Houston, Texas to be with her children where she joined The Church at Bethel Family.

Mary's work ethic was impeccable.  She valued the ability to work and anything less than excellent was unacceptable.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children and grandkids: Ricky (Audrey) Garrett, Pheleashie Garrett, Wanda Garrett (Ricky Limbrick), Rickey (Alicia) Garrett, Whitney Garrett (LeDedric Berry), LeDarris (Jasmine) Limbrick, Santana Garrett, Nina Garrett, Morgan Limbrick, Dajae Jones and Logan Berry; a sister and brother-in-law Eddie and Nina Sue Smith, a brother Lonnie Jones Jr. and nephew Reggie Jones, and a host of family and friends who she loved very dear.

A special thanks to Atrell Horn; you've been a true blessing to us during this time.
