Mildred June Larkin Lewis was born to the late J. B. Larkin and Millie Larkin on May 30, 1939, in Jasper, Texas.

Mildred Lewis attended J. H. Rowe High School in Jasper, Texas. She worked in the nursing field up until her retirement. She met and married the love of her life, Leo Lewis, Sr. To this union, seven children were born, Leo Jr., Steve Sr., Willie, Charita, Sherrie, Alvino, and Alex Sr.
She made the Lord her Lord and Savior at an early age and continued to serve the Lord until her health begin to fail.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. B. and Millie Larkin; three siblings, Enlow, R. J., and Lola Larkin; daughter, Charita; two sons, Leo Lewis, Jr., and Steve Lewis, Sr.; two grandchildren, Rosalin and Xavier; and one son-in-law, Tony Adams.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memories to her loving husband of 69 years, Leo Lewis, Sr.; one surviving brother, David Larkin; three sons,
Willie (Laura) Lewis, Alvino (Frankie) Lewis, both of Jasper, Texas, and Alex (Kim) Lewis, Sr., of Beaumont, Texas; one daughter, Sherrie Adams of Jasper, Texas; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
