Mildred Southwell -Adams was born July 30, 1947 in Jasper, Tx to the late Robert Lee Southwell and Indiana Sylvester Southwell Coleman. She was the oldest of six children to that union.

She attended J H Rowe High School in Jasper, Tx where she was a graduate from the class of 1965. She accepted God into her life at an early age. She married the love of her life Mr. Al Adams on November 28, 1968. Blessed of becoming a wonderful mother which she enjoyed most.

She was a member of the Rockhill Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member and youth choir president until her health failed. She worked at Mary E. Dickerson Hospital for 30 years in the environmental service department.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband of 52 years, Al Adams; two children, Al Jerome Adams (Jenehah) and Patrina Adams both of Jasper, TX; two granddaughters, Falicia and Dazarae Adams; three grandsons, Jamarkus Adams, Jacaidence Hadnot and Caelym Adams; one great-granddaughter, Harmoni Fowler all of Jasper, TX; two sisters, Tammy Southwell of Jasper, TX and Nora Kelly of Houston, TX; three brothers, Robert Southwell Virginia) of Jasper, TX; Charles Southwell of Houston, TX and Johnny Southwell (Tammy) of Hinesville, GA as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-neices, great-nephews, other family and friends
